Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is to include the family and community in all aspects of school life. To this end, we have many events throughout the year for the entire family, including the annual Family and Friends Chanukah Party, Mother-Daughter Dinner, and Pre-Summer Evening of Cheesecake and Flowers. Additionally, we help students with appropriate summer and post high school placements. Should a family be struggling, we help with specific, targeted outreach.
Our History
Shalsheles opened it's doors in September 1991. There was a great need for our school in response to Jewish Russian emigration. Families were looking for a great educational environment together with Jewish identity. Shalsheles continues to provide a top of the line secular education where everything is Department of Education approved. We prepare the children for their future as successful Jewish professionals.
